If you don’t have an iPhone, well, you don’t have an iPhone!!

All the Apple iPhone owners will not deny the title of this article. Who does not want an iPhone? It is an awesome device which is on every geeks’ wish list for obvious reasons. 🙂

Apple has rolled out three new iPhone commercials which are a step further to the Apple’s earlier campaign of “There’s an app for that” catchphrase. The new promos open with a simple line “If you don’t have an iPhone,” and give a brief overview of the key iPhone features with the voiceover explaining the stuff you would otherwise miss – you guessed right – if you are not an iPhone owner; and the proud iPhone owners would agree to that. 🙂

The first ad plays up the App Store in general, the second iBooks, and third iTunes and the iPhone as an iPod. The ads show the iPhone using apps to display the phone’s wonderful capabilities, but the ads start with the narrator saying, “If you don’t have the iPhone, you don’t have…” and end with him telling the audience, “If you don’t have an iPhone, well, you don’t have an iPhone.”

I have included all the three iPhone commercials below for your viewing pleasure.

If you don’t have an iPhone, you don’t have the App Store, with the world’s largest selection of apps.

If you don’t have an iPhone, you don’t have iBooks on your phone, where a good book is just a tap away.

If you don’t have an iPhone, you don’t have an iPod in your phone. And you don’t have iTunes on your phone, the world’s number one music store.

I am a proud iPhone 4 owner and if you don’t have an iPhone, well, you don’t have an iPhone!! 😉

      • As an iPhone user, I find this commercial to be WAY overly elitist. I use various devices everyday and I find that no “one” is better than the other. However they imply the iPhone is better. As a developer, I personally find the iPhone’s restrictions to be VERY troublesome. I like freedom in my devices. I want them to look the way I want, I want to develop the apps the way I want, and I want to be able to have a choice in the various apps (such as music players, etc.) I want to use. I do not like DRM. I do not like iBooks. I do not like not having the option to use flash. I do not like the overly linear design of the iPhone.

However, I understand that others do like restrictions since many interface designers know better than the user. So Apple, please stop shooting yourself in the foot!

        • Hi Martsz,

The restrictions are there.. but still what I believe is, it is the simplicity and user friendliness that makes Apple rule the industry. And on top of that, this has anyways been the strategy from Apple – to entice those who do not have the device, that they are missing something BIG and that is the reason.. it is on every geek’s wishlist 🙂
