The History of Search Engines – A Journey down the memory lane [Infographic]

Internet is a vast resource of knowledge and ideas but have you ever wondered what if you did not have Search Engines? Searching the internet for the appropriate stuff that you are looking for could be an impossible task, exceptions if you were Einstein enough to remember the web address of each website 😉

Search engines comes to your rescue with the simplicity of operation that they do, explore the Internet on the basis of the keywords or a combination of words that are present on different websites and come up with the most appropriate one for you.

As per the Wikipedia definition of Search Engine,

A web search engine is designed to search for information on the World Wide Web and FTP servers. The information may consist of web pages, images, information and other types of files. Unlike Web directories, maintained by human editors, search engines operate algorithmically or are a mixture of algorithmic and human input.
