Now, with the rumour mills done their bit for predicting the features of iPhone 5, they are equally active in putting down the date for the iPhone 5 launch. According to a report from Reuters, Apple is all set to launch the next generation of iPhone in September this year, for which the production is due to start in July. The report also says that iPhone 5 will have a faster processor but will largely look similar to the iPhone 4.

The iPhone is one of Apple’s most successful products, with more than 16 million sold in the last quarter of 2010.

What do you think about the iPhone 5 launch? Is this delay from the normal June launch making you feel eager for the mighty device? Well, it is worth the wait. I am planning to upgrade, are you?

  1. it’s really surprised ,, apple launch new iphone on a very short time.
did apple have some bad product on iphone 4 so that’s why they release iphone 5 ?

    • Hi Damian,

No there is no bad news about iPhone 4.. it is only as per the schedule from Apple where they release an iPhone during summer every year starting from 2007 when they launched the first iPhone… 🙂

In fact, this time they are late than before.. as this year it is expected around september while in the past, Apple launches its new iPhone around June…

  2. Unless there are some drastic changes, like a bigger screen, I will probably stick with the iphone 4…although, if they put an 8 megapixel camera and nfc in the iphone 5 that will be sweet. If 4g LTE shows up, then yes, its probably a no brainer.

    • Thanks for the comment 🙂

Yes.. I am also expecting some new features in the iPhone 5 which may be worth the upgrade… 🙂 8 MP camera is being speculated by experts but I do not think NFC is going to make to iPhone 5.. may be we have to wait for the next summers… 😉 or who knows even sooner.. 🙂

  3. I had planned to buy iPhone but now i had postponed i will wait upto September 2011 because in September iPhone 5 expected to release.

  4. You have to admire the way an Apple product launch throws people into a frenzy, do they even need a marketing department? 🙂

I think the iphone 5 will be worth an upgrade, bigger better and bolder I would suggest although I think the iphone 6 will be the big leap in technology. The iCloud integration will be interesting.

    • I totally agree with you… me being an iPhone 4 user myself, I don’t need any iPhone 5 marketing to upgrade to the awesome much anticipated product iPhone 5… people are the marketeers for Apple 😀
